UNBOX THERAPY VS FRONT PAGE TECH

Hey guys, welcome to another day in techeey blog where we give review speculation and inform you about the new product in the flagship. Now if you watch YOUTUBE then you might be familiar with the channel UNBOX THERAPY for the guys who don’t know this is the channel where the first impressions of any device which is having a buzz get hands-on unboxed and the narrator gives the initial expressions of the device.

I am a fan of the channel and I think if you are a tech enthusiast I really encourage you to check out the channel by clicking the link here #UNBOXTHERAPY.
Now UNBOX THERAPY made a video title as “iPhone XR Is Depressing” and made points that were depicted that how APPLE made a sub-standard phone by giving the same pixel density as the iPhone 4.

LEW host of the channel said that the new iPhone XR is having the same old school pixel density of 326 PPI (pixels per inch) which makes it incapable of delivering 1080p videos on ANY VIDEO STREAMING WEBSITE and also alleged APPLE (iPhone maker) that he can see the individual pixels from a near distance but “it was done using an iPhone 4 as LEW said he didn’t have the iPhone XR itself as it wasn’t set over UNBOX THERAPY”.
The picture shown in the video saying he sees the individual pixels is here cited

Now here its meant that as iPhone XR is rocking the same pixel density then the look of the device from a near distance will be very similar so I think it is a fair comparison. And lastly, he compared the XR with PocoPhone which seriously delivers industry-leading specs with a 1080p display and a notch in just $300 USD and quotes “INDUSTRY LEADERS MUST PUSH THE BEST TECH FORWARD” and I favor his statement. He also compares the APPLE product with the Samsung GALAXY S4 released in 2013 and stating that “every galaxy since then had maintained at least 441 ppi (pixels per inch)”.

He also targeted the apple fanboys who said it’s not a big deal and they can cope with it and they agree with Apple stating as a question by apple fanboys “on a smartphone can you really see the difference, can you tell the difference, so what about the PPI?” to which Lew had a reply ”if that was the case why is it that APPLE sell premium devices with more resolution?”.  Which I totally agree that APPLE is being a jerk as they didn’t even announce the battery capacity of the devices that they launched.

The bottom point of this video was that he was angry on how Chinese manufacturers can give something like the PocoPhone F1 with $300 price point and APPLE can’t deliver the product with such a huge price difference. Well, many also argue that it’s because of the A12 BIONIC chip inside well I don’t think that a chip made in-house for a single company that happens to be the only company for the processor will make such a price difference.

Now on this contrast “FIRST PAGE TECH” <ftp/> released a video stating, well see it yourself.

The host allegedly called LEW “HE AND OTHER PEOPLE ARE JUST IN THE BITCHING GAME AGAINST APPLE” not explaining even one cause why Lew in the first place called the iPhone XR the iPhone it is. I yeah they are because APPLE behaving very similar to a female dog and I give no point to the video as his guy may be an APPLE fan himself so can’t tell anything to him.

Well, guys, this is it please like and subscribe to my blog and see you next time.

ARE APPLE OR SAMSUNG RELEASING A FULL SCREEN SMARTPHONE

ARE APPLE XI & SAMSUNG S10 BEZELESS?

Image result for samsung bezel lessWith the Chinese phone market booming with new ways of making bezel-less phones can we expect the big players going in the game is the big question now are the companies going for the most extreme designs in the market and want to push the innovations of smartphones to the limit well we shall see.

The course that we are right now the VIVO NEX & the OPPO FIND X are being the pioneers of the ALL SCREEN TECH right now with innovation like chip directly on the display field and motorized cameras that pop up with innovative designs. With the models released by both the companies VIVO AND OPPO the tech-communities find that focus is not on the selling of these models and rather they are only built for drawing the attention of the international communities to their brands so they can have the recognition in the markets. The fact can also be verified as these companies were not releasing any flagship phones until mid-2017 the main focus of these companies were in the budget smartphone market and it’s still the same now as shown by sales records of the companies as their new phones on the market had been on-sold to the enthusiastic community rather than the consumer one and that comes as fact that it’s a product to draw attention. Apart from that phones are yet to be released on the international market of the US & the UK, in fact, the product is still available only in its home market even INDIA is yet to get a glimpse of the new flagship product.

Well also there are quality issues with the phones that you are getting they lack the flagship feature that SAMSUNG & APPLE now boasts on their phones also they are very reluctant to damage as anything sticking out from the main chassis of the phone is a venerability of the phone also the quality of the camera doesn’t exhibit anything flagship like with the major player having things like IOS etc. now that is a thing that most consumers think of when they buy a flagship device. There are financial reasons also these companies are playing suicidal I the flagship game by costing the same as it takes to produce they the only extra charge on the device is for the shipping of it’s the core strategy of making cheap products its pointed out by many CHINESE companies as they sell goods at very cheap prices so as to remain in the market and sell other goods like luggage, VR headsets, even phones cases for the phones they make. The prime example of this strategy is XIAOMI in its app-based store apart from the smartphone you have all kinds of accessories like smartwatches, power banks, chargers, etc. but all this comes in places there is a huge audience like 1% of INDIA’s & CHINA’s population would make huge numbers and that is the calculation they make even if one percent of the people residing in these places buy the product the can have a manageable margin of profit but this not in the case of the big players they cost a lot especially APPLE they take a huge margin on the products that they manufacture and they must in order to do their R&D as they are the core of that and they are responsible for the major changes that happen in the smartphone industry, on the other hand, the EASTERN brands have a little or no R&D  their products are the result of mostly reversed engineered products form the west. So yeah it’s important that APPLE cost that much.

So if you see the conclusion the big boys won’t be in the game but just wait they might just surprise us by something new as we all know every day the products we see are getting better and better.

VIVO LATEST PHONE APEX

VIVO APEX
Related image

Related imageVIVO mobile smartphone brand that was not so much a member of the mobile enthusiast group has now turned tables with their innovation in their devices. The brand in CES 2018 first handed in display fingerprint scanner for the first time. It was a topic on the trending page of the mobile for a quite surprising amount of time as it was not “Apple” it was not “Samsung” it wasn’t “Xiaomi” it was Vivo and boy oh boy the stuff that they featured was pretty amazing and got a lot of speculation on “Apple’s” idea of not including a fingerprint scanner at all in their “iPhone X”. This time Vivo is back and it’s back with a 99% screen to body ratio!! Say what 99%, note there iPhone boys. But it’s not a big deal that they have a 99% body ratio but how well they have integrated the things in the device.

NO NOTCH
Now the notch is a common thing in the smartphone market “Apple” made it and al followed it some people do not feature it as a design, not a flaw. But Vivo oh boy they created an almost bezel-less display without any form of notch and almost no bezel too. Well, what about the camera and the fingerprint scanner, the proximity sensor etc. you may ask well guys you will be surprised to know that all is embedded inside the screen. Now the screen is a flexible OLED
panel with the chip sitting on it well it is quite a complex circuitry involved in it.

POP UP CAMERA

Gone are the days where there was always a camera staring at you while using a phone the camera is also flushed. It only appears when you want it too. It’s done by an embedded motor that lifts up the camera when front camera when needed. Now there is the pros and cons to this approach it brings up a secure way of handling a camera so no worry of hackers taking photos anonymously but the motor that’s built-in has to be strong on which must be optimized for a period of 3 to 5 years of time.

VIBRATING SCREEN
Well as I said the phone is bezel-less thus for the speaker the phone uses the screen. Yes, the screen vibrates to produce sound while playing a media file.

OPTICAL FINGERPRINT AND HEADPHONE JACK
Image result for vivo apex

Lack of a headphone jack in many flagships and lack of a fingerprint scanner in the iPhone made the users mad for over a year through the hate still continues the headphone “Jack” is yet to make a comeback in the market. Also, the fingerprint sensor got a huge hate for placing (Samsung ) it in the wrong place and even removing it all together (Apple), well Vivo has learned from its rivals and implemented both a headphone jack and an optical fingerprint sensor. It has a special functionality of having to fingerprints verified and recorded at once through the new concept has an array of applications but the optical fingerprint sensing is not full proof it’s prone to some security flaws. Though it’s very unlikely to cheat unless you are being chased by spies, cartel or C.I.A.

CAN YOU BUY IT
So now the big question with a phone packed with so many features many people want to get their hands on this device, but guys this device was showcased on MWC 2018 as an early hands-on working model. This still in design phase as the complex circuitry involved in the phone there is a question that will the people will be willing to pay the price of the device decided by the company. So let’s hope that this phone makes it to the main stream as it has brought a new revolution in the smartphone industry.

ASUS PLANNING TO LAUNCH SNAPDRAGON POWERED PC

;

WINDOWS + ASUES + SNAPDRAGON = X86 ARM CPU DEVICES??

Well, it’s been a while that there was any fuzz of ARM CPU laptop in the market, well guess what it has returned and now with a bang. The ARM CPU build by SNAPDRAGON is to be placed in laptops. Rumors are there that ASUS will be working on it. Well to know the whole thing lets unfold it step by step.

WINDOWS WITH ARM
It is not the first that such an effort is being made windows have tried rocking arm laptops in the past like the “"DELL ENVY X2”. Though it was amazing that a chip that was initially made to power mobile devices like smartphones and tablets was now being used as a mainstream component for the laptops. It sure made the major chip manufacturers somewhat sweaty under the neck but that was all. The moderate use of the devices like web-browsing, documentation, and entertainment yielded best results with low power consumption like really low arm power laptop can have a full day battery life on moderate use. But there were a major drawback arm chips can only work with software that was specifically designed for it thus no third party tools can be used other than native window components. To compensate for this problem “WINDOWS” emulated its software for an ARM for the native X86 applications to run on the ARM devices. But there was another major fault as windows had a layer for specifically X86 application the performance decreased dramatically as it ARM devices can’t handle even CHROME perfectly.

ARRIVAL OF SNAPDRAGON 1000
Related imageIn the earlier days QUALCOMM has released 4 lines of SoC namely the 2XX for IoT devices, 4XX for budget smartphones and tablets, 6XX for moderate smartphones and 8XX for flagships and laptops the new 1000 series SNAPDRAGON chip is said to be of a different kind and it’s rumored to be designed specifically for the desktop market. The chips are having a greater TDP thanks to the size of the laptops which is expected to be of 6W.

INNOVATION OF ASUS

Image result for snapdragon 1000
ASUS is rumored to design the first laptop rocking the SNAPDRAGON 1000 chip with WINDOWS on it. Well, the project is rumored to have a code name “PRIMUS”. If all goes ASUS will launch in the autumn.

New Optane Dc Persistent Memory

Have Memory Problems?
Not Now
RAM RAM RAM!!! It’s the voice of computer enthusiast, video editors and gamers for over a decade now, but still, we don’t have the solution, well until now!! Intel this week released a new venture of it's “OPTANE” memory that can be directly plugged in the “DIMM” slots natively. But is the use of it does the system support it? Does it have any real life application or its just another piece of crap that Intel is shitting on the community for the promise of better performance, are the most common questions that were raised.
But first, we have to understand what the background of “OPTANE” and how it's planning to help its big brother RAM.

OPTANE
Announced in mid-June 2016 and introduced as “NVME” drives in 2017 Intel’s OPTANE memory was a sweet spot between RAM and our HARD-DISK. Intel advertised it as 3D X(cross) Point technology keep the actual materials and circuitry a secret. Well, whatever it was claiming was actually the Intel OPTANE were much faster than all the SSD drives that we used today but it has its applications limited due to saturation of the memory bus that we have installed in our motherboards. Intel claimed and verified iOPS of up to 100,000 at a Queue depth of 1 and 400,000 at a Queue depth of 8 (iOPS input-output per second).
Wow!! that is impressive you may think though it was tested with XEON processor so it was not for normal daily users Intel released 16gb and 32gb variants of OPTANE tell that it would result in better caching which actually worked but it was not much of a variation. With the high price and very minimal results, it was only recommended for power users who had their memory space cramped up by the software like ADOBE and other RAM-hungry processes.

OPTANE NOW
Intel now released “OPTANE DC PERSISTENT MEMORY” for what it is claiming to be a cheaper, large capacity memory module. The “OPTANE DC PERSISTENT MEMORY” is a native DIMM memory module that fits with the RAM module in the motherboard boards. Though it has a significant difference to RAM as its claimed to non-volatile in nature and with huge memory spaces as 128gb, 256gb and a 512gb variant to be manufactured in the run the run. Though it sits beside the ram it has lower latency than it but much higher than that of a traditional “SSD”, well don’t be excited though as the module are now only made for datacenters claiming to increase iOPS by a factor of 9.4 with 11 times as many users. Another advantage of the module that the data that it's storing it will be encrypted by built-in hardware mechanisms. But INTEL also stated that the broad availability of the product will be in 2019.
It seems that the new drift is here and soon we will have “OPTANE” DIMM modules for our pc too.

dual camera smartphones

DUAL CAMERA SMARTPHONES: A GUIDE

Dual cameras! Wow, What?, Why? These were the reaction when they first appeared on the HTC market in 2011 when they introduced their first flagship. Nowadays it’s a mandatory accessory that must be included in the flagship device. With APPLE bragging about its selfie mode or it is SAMSUNG with is variable aperture every device claims that it has the greatest camera setup in the industry. So what is the truth which camera setup suits you the best let’s explore the world of camera layer by layer.

Well, there is a myth that dual cameras are always the better than a single lens setup by this is Cleary a myth you can even experience it if you own a google device which rocks a single camera but has superb image quality even outshining apple in some scenarios. Then what is the fuzz of dual cameras and why everyone likes to include them in their package?
So first not all dual camera setup serve the same purpose every lens is built for a very specific purpose and you must choose which purpose serves you the best.
We will here focus on the second camera the most because the secret sauce of the camera scene goes in there so let’s start. First, we may divide the camera into the following categories:-
1.       Depth sensor
2.       Monochrome sensor
3.       Wide Angle
4.       Telephoto

Depth sensor as the name suggests it can determine what is in the front of the camera and what is on the background of it, a feature of the latest *iPhone(has telephoto) advertise as BOKEH effect though the effect is pretty incredible it is the simplest of the sensor used I a smartphone. The idea is to mimic the image of a DSLR but as you know we are near to mimic not actually to the point thus in some scenarios it results in the blurring of the foreground too which sometimes bother users the most.

Well bored by the BOKEH effect we have another one best-lit photos. The monochrome sensor is also housed in smartphone for the sake of better lit photos as this lens has an RGB filter which results in better black and white photos for the enthusiastic user but it also lit the photo up as it has a thin layer which allows the lens to capture more light and the photo ends up as a brighter a crisper image with better contrast ratio.

Want a wider field of view grabs a phone with a wide angle lens camera. The camera is responsible to increase the field of view of the primary camera. The increased view is an advantage for shooting in panorama mode and best for scenery capturing as they require a wide view of the surrounding it’s my favorite feature too.

Lastly, we come to the flagship division of lens the telephoto. Most manufacturers today use this type of setup especially top-tier manufacturers like Apple, Samsung etc.. The lens is responsible for 2X optical zoom which I far more superior than digital zoom, to your surprise it can also sense depth I the images so it does the job of depth sensor too so kudos for that too. All in all, it’s the best second camera lens that can be put on the manufacturer list.

Well after this shortly I will make a list of phones that have following so make sure to subscribe me and follow me on G+. If liked the post share it as more people blindly buy but later realize.

XIAOMI LAUNCH event 2018

XIAOMI LAUNCHES A NEW ERA

Well today is the launch of the latest and probably the greatest smartphones in $600/ 39000 range. The event was marked with great devices that were showcased by XIAOMI. XIAOMI unveiled 3 phones and a new fitness tracker. The phones got a lot of attention though from the people and the media as it was the first company to debut snapdragon 710 processor in its phone (MI8 SE) and transparent glass panel in its flagship MI 8 EXPLORER edition. The event was a huge success for MI but it also got in some controversy with it get along to know what.

THE LAUNCH
There were expectations there were rumors and there was the market leader of budget phones (based on India), and with all that curiosity MI launched 3 phones as

1.       MI 8

2.       MI 8 Explorer

3.       MI 8 SE

MI  8 a phone with a 845 snapdragon processor and full HD+ screen with resolution of2240*1080 and a 6’21’’ screen it was the perfect device for a pro user with rom variants 64gb & 128gb it was a behemoth of storage and a ram of 6gb it takes all in the pros of a nice phone. But specs are not all aesthetic also matter with a 88.5% screen to body ratio in was bull’s eye shot for a smartphone buyer. With so much packed it also had to include an amazing camera setup, XIAOMI kept its charts by rocking a 12mp /12mp dual camera setup with the secondary camera  responsible for 2X zoom and a telephoto effect well all this baked with an IOs(optical image stabilization) it was a perfect setup. The front camera of 20mp and an f2.0 aperture with a 1.8ยตm pixel size it’s a complete combo. For all the hardware it needs a battery a huge one with 3400 mAh I also satisfies the users to its content.

READY TO EXPLORE

An exploration a flagship had to be the logo for this phone I believe a big bro for MI 8 – MI 8 Explorer a see back panel, a screen embedded fingerprint scanner and a 3D face unlock it earned full marks for the aesthetics all the specs were similar except it had a 8gb ram with 64gb and 128gb variant and a decreased battery capacity of 3000 mAh only.

THE SMALLER COUSIN

Who knew snapdragon 710 would be introduced by XIAOMI well its true my friends the brand new snapdragon 710 processor was having its debut in a XIAOMI phone with variants of 4gb&64gb and 6gb&64gb it was ideal for an enthusiast only with the battery varying at 3120mAh.

THE HAPPY SIDE

People were very cheerful with a low cost device competing in he market with features like AI, see back panels & also embedded fingerprint sensor that high end models are yet to develop. But you know  there is always a dark side and XIAOMI was caught up.

THE CRITICS

If there are no back falls of device we are not complete so to say. The “notch” the notch made by the apple in 2017 was there all the time and also the removal of the headphone jack. With innovations happening all the time can’t we get rid of the notch design at least. Some even said it’s a copy of design from apple done to attract apple customers, well I would say it was not a design it was a flaw which is now carried on to the android world too.

So what u think about XIAOMI how are the products don’t forget to leave comment for future post and share the post on social media. I am your host Abhishek and this was today’s tech.
